Al Orooba draw 1-1 with ten-man Ajman

Ajman hosted Al Orooba at Rashid Bin Saeed stadium in the fourth Match week of ADNOC Pro League, in an encounter that ended in a 1-1 draw.

The first half saw the hosts maintain a relatively higher ball possession percentage imposing their rhythm on the game as they were hoping to snatch an early lead.

They didn’t wait long to show their claws when Yorleys Mena managed to put his side ahead 4 minutes into the game seizing a perfect pass from his teammate Mohamed Firas, to net his third goal of the season.

The 31st minute witnessed turning point of the game as Ajman’s center back Miral Samardžić was shown a red card to leave his side with 10 men for the rest of the game.

In the 52nd minute the score was leveled by Ajman’s Suleiman Salem who gifted Al Orooba an own goal to revive the guests hope for a first win this season.

Al Orooba got back into the game and were awarded a penalty that was later missed by Nigerian forward Kingsley Eduwo who squandered his side’s chance of claiming their first victory this season when Adel Al Hosany stepped up to save his penalty.

With this result, Ajman earned their fifth point this season in four matches, while Al Orooba got their second.
