Shabab Al Ahli advanced to the ADIB Cup semi-finals after a sensational 5-5 draw against Al Nasr at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.
With a 2-0 win in the first leg, Shabab Al Ahli secured their place with a 7-5 aggregate victory in a match packed with drama and goals.
Federico Cartabia opened the scoring for Shabab Al Ahli with a penalty in the 23rd minute, followed by Munas Dabbur’s first-half strike to make it 2-0.
Al Nasr fought back early in the second half, with Adel Taarabt pulling one back in the 50th minute.
Dabbur responded with his second in the 55th minute, but Renan Victor Da Silva's goal reduced the gap to 3-2 minutes later.
Dabbur completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute, giving Shabab Al Ahli a 4-2 lead, but Al Nasr refused to back down.
Ali Mabkhout’s 71st-minute strike and two quick goals from Marouan Azarkan in the 73rd and 75th minutes turned the game around, putting Al Nasr ahead 5-4.
In a dramatic injury-time finish, Mateus Lima equalized in the 92nd minute, ensuring Shabab Al Ahli’s progression to the next round.
