Al Wasl advanced to the semi-finals of the ADIB Cup after holding Bani Yas to a 0-0 draw in the second leg of their quarter-final encounter at Bani Yas Stadium.
Al Wasl had established a commanding lead in the first leg with a 3-1 win, securing their progression with a 3-1 aggregate score.
They now await the winner of the Al Jazira vs. Al Ain clash in the semi-finals.
The first half saw limited chances for both sides, with the highlight being a VAR intervention that disallowed a goal for Al Wasl’s Soufiane Bouftini due to offside.
The stalemate continued into the second half, where VAR again played a role, ruling out a 77th-minute goal by Al Wasl substitute Caio Canedo for offside.
