The UAE Pro League, in partnership with the Referees Committee of the UAE Football Association, has successfully wrapped up a series of workshops titled "Refereeing and the Laws of the Game."
These sessions, held from August 10 to August 28, 2024, were attended by first-team players, as well as members of the coaching and administrative staff from various professional football clubs across the UAE.
The workshops aimed to familiarize participants with the latest updates to the football rulebook.
Key topics discussed included the fundamental principles of football refereeing, the main objectives of the laws, and detailed explanations of recent rule changes.
The sessions also highlighted best practices for avoiding violations on the pitch, with a strong emphasis on player safety, which remains the top priority in applying football laws.
Interactive presentations and video demonstrations were used to enhance the learning experience, ensuring participants could easily grasp the changes.
The workshops saw active participation, with attendees engaging enthusiastically with the content presented.
These sessions, hosted at the professional clubs' facilities, were part of the essential requirements for professional club licensing, in line with the standards set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
