Laba Kodjo Last-Gasp Goal Salvages Draw for Al Ain against Dibba Al-Hisn

Laba Kodjo last-gasp goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Al Ain at Dibba Al-Hisn in matchweek six of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.

Al Ain dominated the game from the start and missed several goal-scoring chances, as Dibba Al Hisn's defense showed great resistance to Al Ain's serious attacks.

Things went against the run of the play when Midana Bigna was brought down by goalkeeper Mohamed Bu Sanda, and the referee pointed to the spot.

Oussama Hadadi stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to find the breakthrough and ended the drought of the game in the 71st minute.

The drama of the second half continued when Ali Al Ansari caught Soufiane Rahim as the pair fought over a loose ball in the box, prompting the referee to point to the spot.

It was a golden chance for Al Ain to restore the parity, but Laba Kodjo missed the penalty kick.

The Togolese striker fought to equalize the scoring, and he got what he wanted in the dying moments of the game when Felipe Salomoni squared for Kodjo, who sent a slow rolling ball between the legs of goalkeeper Suhail Abdulla that trickled over the goal line.

The draw result left Al Ain in the sixth spot with eight points, while Dibba Al Hisn secured their first point in the 13th place.
