Al Wasl came from a 0-1 down to defeat Al Bataeh 3-1 in matchweek 9 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
Al Bataeh had started the game so fiercely as they managed to take the lead after three minutes when Ulrich Sidoine capitalized on a misjudgment from Al Wasl defense to and cut inside the penalty area before slotting the ball into the back of the net.
Fabio De Lima restored the parity for the hosts after successfully converted from a penalty spot in the 45th minute.
Caio Canedo's first-time half volley in the 73rd minute turned the game on its head and put Al Wasl ahead.
Six minutes later, Al Wasl secured the three points and sealed the victory.
Ali Saleh picked up the ball from the midfield as he cut inside the penalty area and rounded the ball to Adama Diallo, who found it easy to slot the ball into the back of the net.
The result means that Al Wasl are sixth with 13 points, while Al Bataeh sit 13th with 4 points.
