Two second-half goals from Junior Flemmings and Abdulhameed Sabiri helped Ajman secure a 2-0 win over Al Orooba in matchweek ten of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.
It was a cagey game with few goal-scoring opportunities, especially in the first half, which ended in a goalless draw.
Ajman pressed to take the lead in the second half until they got what they wanted in the 81st minute of the game.
Junior Flemmings scored the only goal of the game nine minutes before the time when he picked up the ball inside the box as he beat his man and slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Abdulhameed Sabiri sealed the victory in the stoppage time of the second half when Waleed Azaro rounded the ball to Sabiri, who found it easy to slot the ball into the back of the net.
The result means that Ajman sit tenth with ten points, while Al Orooba remain bottom with three points.
