Ajman kicked off their adventure in the ADIB Cup with a 3-1 win over Al Dhafra in the first leg of the tournament's first round.
Ajman led after 29 minutes when Ali Madan picked up the ball on the right side of the penalty box before firing in from a tight angle.
Five minutes after the break, Mohamed Helal cemented Ajman's lead when he poked the rebound into the back of the net after Waleed Azaro's first attempt from inside the box was saved by Al Dhafra's goalkeeper Abdulla Hassan.
Four minutes after the hour-mark, Mohamed Aljneibi's first-time volley from a tight angle reduced the deficit for the visitors.
Azaro put Ajman's lead beyond doubt when M. Ben Alarbi whipped over a superb low cross, and the Moroccan striker slid in to flick his shot past Abdulla Hassan from six yards in the 72nd minute.
