Despite their 1-2 loss in the second leg of ADIB Cup's Quarter finals on Tuesday, Al Ain reached the semi-final with a 3-2 aggregate win over Al Nasr.
Al Ain had secured a 2-0 win in the first leg at Al Maktoum Stadium, before being lost 2-1 in the second leg.
Issac Tshibangu had opened the scoring in the 41st minute when he capitalized on a mis-placed pass from defender Bandar Al Ahbabi as he drilled the ball into the back of the net.
Alejandro Romero's clinical finish from a close range restored the parity for Al Ain in the 88th minute.
Rashed Mohammad's sublime long-range strike put Al Nasr ahead in the injury time, but they failed to add the third goal to secure their place in the semi-final.
Al Ain will clash against Ittihad Kalba in the semi-final of the tournament.
