Title holders Al Ain knocked Al Wahda out of the ADIB Cup to reach the semi-final on Friday.
The two clubs have played out a 1-1 draw at Al Nahyan Stadium as Al Ain benefited from holding a goalless draw at Hazza bin Zayed stadium on Monday, December 12th.
Khalid Eisa's mistake paved the way for Joao Pedro's 25th-minute opening goal. Allan Marques made a nice move from the right flank; before sending an excellent cross into the six-yard box, where Al Ain's goalkeeper failed to catch the ball as it fell to Joao Pedro, who found it easy to drill the ball into the empty net.
Twelve minutes after the hour-mark, Soufian Rahimi hit the equalizer when he towered above Al Wahda's defense to fire a powerful header into the back of the net.
