Al Ain laboured to a 2-0 win over Al Wahda on Monday as goals from Josna Abianfi and Haliru Sarki secured a hard-fought victory over Al Wahda in matchweek 24 of the ADNOC Pro League.
Josna Abianfi broke the deadlock and put Al Ain ahead after 23 minutes when he hit a first-time shot from Solomon Sosu's cross.
Nine minutes after the hour-mark, Haliru Sarki extended the lead with a sublime strike from inside the box into the top corner.
The result means that Al Ain sit third with 42 points, while Al Wahda are fourth with 41 points.
