Al Ain Secure 2-0 Win Over Al Nasr in First Leg of ADIB Cup Quarterfinal

Al Ain clinched a decisive 2-0 win against Al Nasr during their first leg of ADIB Cup quarterfinal clash at the Al Maktoum Stadium. This victory puts Al Ain in a commanding position as they prepare for the second leg at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

The game began with an early threat from Al Nasr's Samir Memisevic. His powerful strike from outside the penalty area in the 11th minute was brilliantly saved by Al Ain's goalkeeper, Mohamed Bu Sanda.

Al Ain didn't wait long to counter, with Soufian Rahimi's shot in the 15th minute being deflected wide by Al Nasr's defender, Gustavo Alex.

Al Ain's breakthrough came in the 28th minute from a well-executed corner kick by Matias Palacios. Bandar Al Ahbabi, seizing the moment, directed the ball to Abdoul Karim Traoré, whose precise header left Al Nasr's goalkeeper, Abdulla Altamimi, with no chance.

The second half saw Al Ain extend their lead, with Rahimi playing a pivotal role. In the 61st minute, his sleek pass set up Palacios, who confidently slotted the ball home. Notably, Rahimi has been instrumental in four of Al Ain's last five goals against Al Nasr in the competition, contributing two goals and crafting two assists.

This win moves Al Ain a step closer to the semifinals, with the second leg poised to be a thrilling encounter
