Al Orooba and Al Nasr played out a goalless draw in the first leg of the ADIB Cup's preliminary round on Saturday.
It was a cagy game with no real threats towards the two goalkeepers as the players of both clubs seemed to have forgotten their scoring boots in their homes.
Al Nasr should have found the breakthrough and took the lead in the 72nd minute when he fired a glancing header, but goalkeeper Talal Khameis reacted bravely and parried the ball out.
The second leg is set to take place at Al Maktoum Stadium on Saturday, September 7th.
