Al Wahda flexed their prowess with a commanding 5-0 win over Emirates at the iconic Emirates Club Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah. Building on their previous 3-0 win, Al Wahda's cumulative performance cements their spot in the quarter-finals of the ADIB Cup.
Anticipation now brews regarding their potential clash with either Al Jazira or Bani Yas.
Al Wahda broke the deadlock and opened the scoring just two minutes before heading to the dressing rooms for the break when they awarded a penalty kick due to a handball on EmiratesFC's defender Ahmad Essa. Guanca stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, to make it 1-0.
The visitors added the second goal of the night when Facundo Daniel was put through on goal following a brilliant pass from Allan Marques as the former kept his composure and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper.
The second half saw Facundo stealing the limelight. The Argentine forward confirmed Al Wahda's dominance by notching an impressive super hat-trick, finding the back of the net in the 49th, 60th, 73rd, and 88th minutes.
This makes Facundo the second Argentine to score a hat-trick in the ADIB Cup, following in the footsteps of Mariano Donda with Al Wasl in 2011. Remarkably, he's the first Argentine player ever to register a super hat-trick in the tournament.
