An excellent pass from Caio Canedo ended with a clinical finish from Fabio De Lima, putting Al Wasl ahead after four minutes.
Seferovic killed the game when he picked up the ball inside the box and twisted his body, before unleashing a powerful effort into the back of the net.
The win means that Al Wasl top the table with 42 points, while Bani Yas sit 10th with 16 points.
