Caio Canedo sparked jubilant scenes at the home end as ADNOC Pro League title holders stole an early ninth-minute lead with a perfectly placed volley. His last 35 goals in the ADNOC Pro League have been scored from inside the box.
The result means that Al Wasl temporarily sit first with four points, while Dibba Al Hisn are 12th with zero points after being defeated in their first two games.
