Bani Yas settled a six-goal thriller after securing a 4-2 victory over Dibba Al Hisn in the first leg of the ADIB Cup's preliminary round on Saturday.
A strong start from Bani Yas as they needed just six minutes to break the deadlock with a bullet header following an excellent cross from Marković.
The equalizer was quick to follow after just four minutes from Bani Yas' lead when N. Vujanović picked up the ball inside the box and kept his composure before coolly side-footing home into the back of the net.
Having supplied the assist for Bani Yas' opener, Marković got in on the act himself in the 14th minute with an excellent header into the bottom corner of the net.
O. Haddadi restored the parity for Dibba Al Hisn from a penalty spot as the Tunisian stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 2-2.
Four minutes after the break, Youssoufou Niakate regained the lead for the hosts from the spot. A side-footed effort from Saile Samuel Souza three minutes before the time sealed the victory for Bani Yas.
