Lourency Do's second-half goal was the difference for Al Bataeh in a 1-0 away win over Bani Yas in matchweek three of the ADNOC Pro League at Bani Yas Stadium on Friday.
It took 57th minutes for the visitors to break the deadlock when Lourency picked up the ball on the left flank before firing a left-footed hammering strike that nestled into the top corner of the net, sealing the three points of the game.
The home side team kept their pressure for restoring parity but they failed to find the back of the net, suffering a second consecutive defeat in the ADNOC Pro League.
The result means that Al Bataeh sit in third place with 6 points, while Bani Yas remain in ninth place with only 3 points.
