Ittihad Kalba and Al Dhafra played out a 2-2 draw in matchweek 19 of the ADNOC Pro League at Ittihad Kalba Stadium on Friday.
The visitors started strong, and they successfully opened scoring just one minute into the game through Sultan Al Ghafri, who sent a brilliant strike from outside the box to Eisa Houti's top right corner.
The hosts refused to give up after the early goal as they controlled possession, searching for the equaliser.
In the 13th minute, Ittihad Kalba got what they wanted when Habib Al Fardan took advantage of the confused Al Dhafra's defence to bring the scores level.
Robert Zulj sent in a brilliant cross from a free-kick as the defence failed to properly clear the ball, and it fell to Al Fardan in the six yards box, and the former UAE international's effort took a slight deflection before going through the keeper's legs.
Guilherme Augusto Vieira put his side ahead again in the half-hour mark when he picked up Candido Silva's pass on the edge of the penalty area to send a brilliant left-footed drive that smashed the top right corner of the net.
Four minutes after the hour-mark, Al Fardan restored parity for the hosts once more when Ahmed Abdalla Mohamad swung in a fabulous cross into the penalty area, which was initially met by Sultan Adill.
He played it to Al Fardan, who planted the ball with a powerful header into the back of the net from six yards.
The result means Al Dhafra sit 12th with 15 points in the bag, whereas Ittihad Kalba remain tenth with 20 points.
