Ittihad Kalba settled an eight-goal thriller after sealing a 5-3 win over Ajman in matchweek four of the ADNOC Pro League at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium on Friday.
A brilliant counter from Ajman ended with Waleed Azaro poking the rebound into the back of the net to put Ajman ahead after five minutes.
Isam Faiz's own goals in the 32nd minute restored the parity to Ittihad Kalba as he inadvertently turned Habib Al Fardan's cross into his net.
Four minutes later, Andres Vombergar put the visitors ahead after picking up the ball on the edge of the penalty area, before firing a powerful effort from a tight angle.
Mehdi Ghayedi completed the comeback for Ittihad Kalba when he went through on one-to-one position with the goalkeeper before chipping the ball over the goalkeeper.
Four minutes after the break, Daniel Bessa made it 4-1 from the spot when he stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Mehdi Ghayedi added the fifth goal in the 59th minute after being teed up inside the box by Waleed Rashid as the former chipped the ball past the goalkeeper.
Waleed Azaro reduced the deficit in the 72nd minute after timing his run perfectly to head in an excellent cross, before grabbing his hat-trick in the injury time to make it 5-3.
