A brace from Aylton Filip and goals from Antonio Junior and Mehdi Abeid helped Khorfakkan secure a 4-3 home win over Al Dhafra at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium in matchweek 10 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
Antonio Junior broke the deadlock and gave the lead for Khorfakkan in the 23rd minute when he poked the rebound into the back of the net after Ramon Lopes De Freitas's first attempt from inside the box was saved by Al Dhafra's goalkeeper Abdulla Sultan Alnasri.
Aylton Filip quickly put Khorfakkan ahead again when he picked up the ball inside the box and chipped it over the goalkeeper in the 54th minute.
Three minutes after the hour-mark, Mehdi Abeid fired a long-range strike into the top corner of the net to make it 3-1.
Al Dhafra reduced the deficit in the 75th minute when goalkeeper Abdulla Sultan failed to handle a cross ending with the ball falling for Mitchell Quinten Te Vrede to tap into the empty net from the six-yard box.
In the 90th minute, Aylton Filipe grabbed his brace and added the fourth goal of the night when he towered above Al Dhafra's defense to thump a brilliant header into the back of the net.
Leonard Offoe Amesimeku reduced the deficit again in the death for Al Dhafra with a powerful header from a corner kick that nestled into the top corner of the net, to make it 3-4.
The victory means Khorfakkan sit tenth in the league table with 11 points, while Al Dhafra remain in 13th place with just 4 points.
