Forward Joao Pedro struck deep into stoppage time to snatch a 1-0 needed win for Al Wahda over Bani Yas in matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League on Monday.
Nicolas Gimenez should have opened the scoring for the visitors after firing a powerful strike, but his effort hit the post.
Joao Pedro saved the three points for Al Wahda in the 91st minute with a clinical finish from close range.
Al Wahda jumped to the third spot with 26 points, while Bani Yas sat ninth with 15 points.
