Shabab Al Ahli settled a five-goal thriller after securing a 3-2 win over Emirates in matchweek 23 of the ADNOC Pro League on Monday.
Munas Dabbur broke the deadlock after just seven minutes as he poked the rebound in after Emirates' defense failed to properly clear the ball from the six-yard box. It is the 51st goal for the Dubai-based side against Emirates in all their meetings in the ADNOC Pro League.
Francisco Alcacer produced a neat finish from a tight angle to hit the equalizer for Emirates after 29 minutes.
Ten minutes later, Igor Jesus regained the lead for the visitors with a clinical finish from a close range.
Ten minutes after the break, Ismail Salem picked up the ball on the right flank as he made a nice move towards the penalty area and beat three defenders, before firing a low effort with the outside of his foot into the bottom corner.
The lead have been regained so quickly via Igor Jesus' brilliant header from inside the box in the 56th minute.
The result means that Shabab Al Ahli sit second with 49 points, while Emirates are 13th with 14 points.
