Shabab Al Ahli pulled off their fourth consecutive win in the ADNOC Pro League after defeating Al Bataeh 6-0 in matchweek nine at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium on Friday.
Shabab Al Ahli needed just ten minutes to break the deadlock when Igor Jesus Da Cruz was teed up inside the penalty area by Ahmed Abdulla Jamil, as Jesus fired the ball into the back of the net with a clinical finish from close range.
Thirteen minutes before the break, Yuri Cesar cemented the Dubai-based side's lead when he was put through on goal as he kept his composure to pass the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
At the hour-mark, Harib Abdalla Suhail added the third goal when he poked the rebound into the empty net after Igor's first attempt was denied by goalkeeper Zayed Ahmed.
Ten minutes later, Yahya AlGhassani made it 4-0 when he met Cartabia's pass with a brilliant first-time volley into the bottom corner.
The fifth was quick to follow when Harib Abdalla Suhail was teed up on the right wing as he cut inside the penalty area and skipped past a defender before firing a strike into the back of the net.
Eight minutes before the time, Gustavo Silva De Oliveira made it 6-0 when Abdalla Suhail sent in a low cross to the six-yard box, where De Oliveira found it easy to put the ball into the empty net.
The victory leads Shabab Al Ahli to temporarily top the table with 19 points, while Al Bataeh sit 11th with 9 points.
