A goal from Caio Lucas and a brace from Ousmane Camara secured a 3-1 comfortable win for Sharjah over Khorfakkan in matchweek 24 of the ADNOC Pro League on Monday.
Mohamed Awad was close to finding the breakthrough for Khorfakkan after eleven minutes as he capitalized on a misplaced pass from Sharjah's defense to fire a right-footed effort, but Sharjah's goalkeeper Adel Alhosani brilliantly parried the ball out.
Caio Lucas should have put Sharjah ahead after running onto an upfield pass from Miralem Pjanicto to break the offside trap, but his effort was blocked by Khorfakkan's goalkeeper Ahmed Alhosani in the 25th minute.
One minute after the break, Ousmane Camara broke the deadlock as he deftly headed in an excellent pass from Caio Lucas from the right flank to beat the goalkeeper and put the ball into the empty net.
The Guinean doubled the scoring and hit his fourth brace in the ADNOC Pro League during the ongoing season as he latched onto an excellent pass from Miralem Pjanic to cut inside and keep his composure before drilling the ball into the bottom corner in the 51st minute.
Caio Lucas turned from a provider to a scorer at the hour-mark as his low effort beat the outstretched hands of the Khorfakkan's goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
Rafael Pereira's clinical finish from a close range in the 77th minute reduced the deficit for Khorfakkan.
The result means that Sharjah sit 5th with 38 points, while Khorfakkan are 12th with 21 points.
