Waleed Azaro scored a 90th-minute equalizer as Ajman snatched a 1-1 draw against Al Jazira at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium on Saturday.
The game was cagey in the first half as both teams failed to pose a real threat to the goalkeepers.
The Pride of Abu Dhabi made their first threat in the 59th minute as they should have opened the scoring when Ali Al Hosani made a brilliant save to Khalfan Mubarak's strike.
Five minutes from the time, Al Jazira found the breakthrough and took the lead when Abdalla Ramadan's strike took a wicked deflection off Abdulla Saleh and completely wrong-footed goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani.
Waleed Azaro rescued a point for the hosts when he timed his run perfectly to head in Saeed Suleiman Salem's cross to hit the equalizer.
The result means that Ajman sit sixth with 34 points, while Al Jazira are seventh with the same tally of points
