In an effort to deliver a detailed overview of the 2020-2021 Arabian Gulf Cup final, the UAE Pro League released a magazine focusing on the upcoming “Year of the 50th Cup Final” which will see Shabab Al Ahli take on Al Nasr at Sharjah Stadium on Friday, April 9th.
The magazine featured an opening statement headlined “Year of the 50th Cup Final” by UAE Pro League chairman Abdulla Naser Al-Jneibi, before highlighting the winners of the previous Arabian Gulf Cup editions as well as the referees who officiated the competition’s finals.
The magazine put the spotlight on key players at Shabab Al Ahli and Al Nasr and the coaches’ remarkable achievements. In addition, it provided an overview of both teams’ road to the final.
A special section was dedicated to the previous meetings between the two teams in the Arabian Gulf Cup competition, as Shabab Al Ahli are record six-time Arabian Gulf Cup finalists and are heading into their third consecutive final, while Al Nasr are preparing for their third final overall and their second in a row.
The magazine also highlighted the participation of players from the “UAE Resident” and “Born in the UAE” categories in the competition this season. It also featured a brief history of Sharjah Stadium, which will be hosting the Year of the 50th Cup Final.
