The UAE Pro League held a series of coordination meetings in preparation for the trophy presentation ceremony for the Arabian Gulf League champions, who will be decided based on matchweek 26 results on Tuesday, May 11.
The meetings were attended by UAE Pro League CEO Waleed Al Hosani and the work teams of the UAEPL departments.
The UAE Pro League met with Bani Yas Board Member and General manager Mohammed Suhail Al Kathiri, the club’s CEO Mohammed Al Junaibi and their work team, and Al Jazira club CEO Ali Al Hammadi and their work team.
All organizational arrangements related to the final two games, which will be held at both clubs’ respective stadiums, were discussed during the meeting. In addition, it witnessed reviewing the protocol, special operations, and logistical preparations related to the trophy presentation ceremony set to take place at the winner’s home stadium.
The UAEPL also held a meeting with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command to discuss security measures for the two matches and the trophy ceremony, which will succeed them at either Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium or Bani Yas Stadium.
Waleed Al Hosani revealed that they have to double their efforts since they are preparing for the trophy ceremony in two different stadiums. He said they are seeking to organize a glamorous event that would be enjoyed by the UAE football fans and the champions after an exceptional season, which saw the title race go down to the final matchweek for the first time since the 2008-2009 campaign. He added that they are currently preparing for the event, as everyone is doing their best to ensure organizing the ceremony in the best way possible.
Al Hosani hailed title contenders Al Jazira and Bani Yas for their cooperation in matters related to the trophy presentation ceremony arrangements and the organization of their respective final matches. He also expressed gratitude to the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and all authorities and partners who played a key role in the success of the whole season.
