The 2022-23 season of the ADIB Cup will kick off on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11th and 12 as the first leg of the tournament's first round will see six encounters.
All the stages of the ADIB Cup will be played over a two-legged format, including the first round, quarter-finals, and semi-finals, while the final will take place over a one-legged match.
Al Ain, who claimed the last season's ADNOC Pro League and ADIB Cup titles, and Shabab Al Ahli, the runners-up of the ADIB Cup's last edition, advance automatically into the quarter-final.
Tuesday's actions get underway with Dibba welcoming Al Jazira at 17:15.
The two clubs had previously met three times before with three wins for Dibba.
At the same time, Bani Yas will clash against Sharjah. During their previous six meetings in ADIB Cup, Bani Yas secure three wins, compared to two for Sharjah, while the draw decided the result of the other encounter.
Tuesday's fixtures conclude with Al Wahda hosting Ittihad Kalba at Al Nahyan Stadium for the 20:00 kick-off.
The two clubs have just one meeting in the ADIB Cup during the group stage of the 2018-19 season when Al Wahda pulled off a 2-0 win over Ittihad Kalba.
The games continue on Wednesday with Ajman welcoming Al Dhafra at 5:15 pm at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium. The two teams have previously met on two occasions in the ADIB Cup. Ajman won both matches with a total score of 6-3.
At the same time, Al Nasr will clash against Al Bataeh at Al Maktoum Stadium for the first time in ADIB Cup.
Wednesday's fixtures will conclude with Khorfakkan clashing against Al Wasl at Saqr bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi Stadium at 8:00 pm at the end of the first-leg matches of the ADIB Cup first-round.
The two teams have met on two previous occasions in the ADIB Cup, during the group stage of the 2008-09 season when Al Wasl won in one match, while the draw decided the result of the second encounter.
