Al Wahda Crowned ADIB Cup Champions for the Fourth Time

Al Wahda were crowned ADIB Cup 2025–2026 champions after defeating Al Ain 4-2 on penalties, following a goalless draw in the regular time at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.

Al Ain started the match on the front foot and came close to opening the scoring in the 9th minute when Laba Kodjo unleashed a powerful strike, but Al Wahda goalkeeper Zayed Al Hamadi produced an excellent save.

Al Wahda responded with a long-range effort from Facundo Daniel, which was denied by Khalid Eisa.

Zayed Al Hamadi continued his impressive performance throughout the first half, making key saves, including another dangerous attempt from Kodjo in the 39th minute.

He then produced a crucial stop in stoppage time to deny Kaku, ensuring the first half ended goalless.

Al Ain maintained their attacking pressure after the break and nearly took the lead in the 51st minute, but Matias Palacios missed a clear chance, sending his effort just wide.

Al Wahda threatened in response, with Dusan Tadić beating two defenders before firing over the bar in the 68th minute.

With neither side able to find the breakthrough, the match remained level through regular time, sending the final to a penalty shootout. Al Wahda held their nerve to win 4-2, sealing their fourth ADIB Cup title.
