The UAE Pro League approved dates and timings of the first and second legs of ADIB Cup's preliminary round, as well as the first and second matchweeks of the ADNOC Pro League for the 2024-25 season.
It will announce at a later time the dates and timings of the remaining rounds in the two competitions based on the scheduling of our clubs' external participation, which will be decided at the end of August.
The 2024-25 season will kick off with the first leg of ADIB Cup's preliminary round on August 17th.
The first leg of ADIB Cup's preliminary round will take place on August 17th and 18th, with Bain Yas welcoming Dibba Al Hisn and Al Orooba facing off Al Nasr for the 18:05 kick-off, while Khorfakkan hosts Sharjah at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium.
The games continue on Sunday with Al Jazira playing against Al Bataeh at Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium, and Kalba welcome Al Ain at 18:05. Shabab Al Ahli host Ajman at Rashid Stadium for the 20:45 kick-off.
The second-legged matches will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th, with Dibba Al Hisn hosting Bani Yas at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium and Al Nasr clash against Al Orooba, while Sharjah will play against Khorfakkan at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium.
Twelve teams participate in the preliminary round of the ADIB Cup as they play two-legged gams as six teams will qualify for the quarter-final, joining the ADNOC Pro League champions Al Wasl and ADIB Cup's title holders Al Wahda, who automatically advanced to the quarter-final.
As per ADNOC Pro League, matchweek one will kick off on Friday, August 23rd, with Al Orooba hosting Al Nasr at Dibba Stadium, and Al Wahda welcome Ajman at Al Nahyan Stadium for the 18:00 kick-off, whereas Kalba clash against Al Wasl at 20:30.
The excitement continues on Saturday with four games as Shabab Al Ahli with Shabab Al Ahli hosting Al Bataeh at Rashid Stadium, Bani Yas welcome Al Jazira at Bani Yas Stadium for the 18:00 kick-off, while Dibba Al Hisn play against Sharjah at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium, and Al Ain clash against Khorfakkan at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium at 20:30.
The ADNOC Pro League is set to continue its thrilling action with matchweek two matches on Thursday, August 29th, and Friday, August 30th.
On Thursday, fans can look forward to several thrilling encounters. Al Wasl will face Dibba Al-Hisn at Zabeel Stadium, while Al Jazira take on Al Orooba at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, both kicking off at 5:55 PM. Later, at 8:30 PM, Al Nasr will clash with Bani Yas at Al Maktoum Stadium, and Sharjah will play against Kalba at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium.
Matchweek two will conclude on Friday, August 30th, with more exciting matches. Khorfakkan will go head-to-head with Al Wahda at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium, and Al Bataeh will compete against Al Ain at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium, both starting at 5:55 PM. The final match of the matchweek will see Ajman facing Shabab Al Ahli at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium, kicking off at 8:30 PM.
