Al Nasr bounced back to form with a 3-1 win over Ajman on Saturday in a match held at Al Maktoum Stadium, part of Matchweek 5 of the 2024-2025 ADNOC Pro League season.
Ajman took an early lead through Waleed Azaro, but Al Nasr quickly responded with goals from Abdoulaye Toure and a brilliant brace from Ali Mabkhout, sealing their win.
The victory pushes Al Nasr to 9 points, positioning them in third place in the league standings, while Ajman remain with 3 points, stuck in 11th place.
The match began with Ajman on the offensive. They nearly scored in the 7th minute, but Al Nasr goalkeeper Abdulla Al Tamimi made a crucial save to keep the game level.
Al Nasr responded with a golden opportunity in the 20th minute when Ali Mabkhout broke through on goal, only to be denied by Ajman’s goalkeeper Ali Al Hosani with an impressive save.
Ajman capitalized on their momentum first, with Waleed Azaro calmly finishing a well-placed ball into the box to give his team the lead.
However, Al Nasr wasn’t behind for long. Abdoulaye Toure equalized with a stunning solo effort, driving the ball past Al Hosani just before halftime to level the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Al Nasr came out strong, determined to claim the three points.
Their relentless pressure paid off when Ali Mabkhout headed home a pinpoint cross from Othmane Boussaid, putting Al Nasr in front.
Mabkhout continued his stellar form, scoring his second goal of the night with a clinical finish to extend Al Nasr's lead to 3-1.
Despite Ajman’s attempts to claw back into the game, Al Nasr controlled the match until the final whistle, securing their third win of the season.
