Sharjah jumped to the top of the ADNOC Pro League table after securing a 2-0 win over Al Wahda on Saturday.
Sharjah had taken the lead after 34 minutes when David Petrovic perfectly placed an in-swinging cross towards the back post, where Khaled Aldhanhani executed a powerful header into the back of the net.
Three minutes later, Mohamed Ben Alarbi picked up a through pass from Luan Pereira, as the Tunisian player kept his composure before curling the ball into the bottom corner.
The result means that Sharjah sit first with 24 points, while Al Wahda are third with 18 points.
