Al Wahda closed out Matchweek 19 of the ADNOC Pro League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kalba at Kalba Stadium on Sunday night.
Ahmad Noorollah scored the only goal of the match, securing three valuable points that moved Al Wahda up to third place with 34 points. Kalba remain 11th on 22 points.
The match was tightly contested in the first half until Noorollah broke the deadlock in the 45th minute.
His first attempt was parried by the Kalba goalkeeper, but he reacted quickly to smash in the rebound with a powerful second strike.
Kalba's hopes of a comeback faded in the 74th minute when Abdulaziz Hamed received a second yellow card, reducing the home side to ten men.
Al Wahda maintained control for the remainder of the match and held on for a deserved win.
