In Numbers, Fiery Encounters Set to Take Place in Final Matchweek of Round 1

We are only a few days away from the ADNOC Pro League's return, as tough clashes are set to take place in the final matchweek of round one.

Matchweek 13 will be held on Sunday and Monday, January 22nd and 23rd, amid great anticipation by the fans.

The ADNOC Pro League has been put on hold due to the participation of the UAE National Team in the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup.

The competition has become fierce among all clubs, as each side looks to gain some ground between keeping pace with the league's leading teams, moving up the standings, or steering away from the relegation zone.

Here are the most key stats of the head-to-head encounters for matchweek 13th fixtures:

Ittihad Kalba vs. Al Jazira

Sunday’s actions get underway with Ittihad Kalba welcoming Al Jazira for the 17:15 kick-off.

Historically, Al Jazira remain undefeated against Ittihad Kalba in the ADNOC Pro League. During their 14 previous encounters, the Pride of Abu Dhabi won 12 games, while the draws decided the results of the other two encounters.

The two teams scored a tally of 54 goals, 42 of which for Al Jazira and 12 for Ittihad Kalba.

Al Wasl vs. Khorfakkan

At the same time, Al-Wasl will be facing Khorfakkan at Zabeel Stadium.

The two teams had previously met on six occasions, with five wins for Al Wasl and two for Khorfakkan, while the other match ended in a draw.

With a difference of only a goal, Al Wasl scored 7 goals, compared to 6 for Khorfakkan.

Sharjah vs. Al Nasr

All eyes will be shed on Sharjah Stadium, where leaders Sharjah will host Al Nasr in the most anticipated game of the week.

Despite producing a poor performance during the last period, Al Nasr have the upper hand over Sharjah during their previous encounters as they won 10 games, compared to 9 victories for Sharjah, while the other 5 fixtures ended in draws.

Al Nasr will search for their first win at the end of the first round since the 2016-17 season, while Sharjah have not suffered any defeat during the last four seasons in the final matchweek of the first round.

Al Bataeh vs. Al Ain

Sunday's fixtures conclude with Al Bataeh hosting title holders Al Ain at Saqr bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium for the 20:00 kick-off.

It will be the first encounter between the two clubs, but Al Ain always excel against the newly-prompted clubs. During their 47 previous encounters against the newly-prompted clubs, Al Ain won 37 games, drew in 4, and lost 6.

On the other hand, Al Bataeh will seek to be the first newly-prompted club to defeat the champions of the ADNOC Pro League since 2018-19 when Bani Yas beat Al Ain.

Al Dhafra vs. Dibba

The games continue with Al Dhafra hosting Dibba at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium for the 17:15 kick-off as both sides will search for their second win since the beginning of the ongoing season.

The two clubs had previously met 10 times, with 6 wins for Al Dhafra, and 3 for Dibba, while the other encounter ended in a draw.

Ajman vs. Shabab Al Ahli

At the same time, Ajman will Shabab Al Ahli at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium. During their 20 previous meetings, the Dubai-based side had the upper hand with 14 wins, compared to just a victory for Ajman, while the other 5 games ended in draws.

Bani Yas vs. Al Wahda

Matchweek 13 concludes with Bani Yas welcoming Al Wahda at 20:00. The two clubs had previously met on 22 occasions, with 12 wins for Al Wahda, compared to 4 for Bani Yas, while the other 6 clashes ended in draws.

Al Wahda found the back of Bani Yas' net on 44 occasions, while Bani Yas scored 30 goals against the Abu Dhabi-based side.
