Al Nasr returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Kalba at Al Maktoum Stadium in Matchweek 25 of the ADNOC Pro League.
The hosts made a strong start and took the lead in the 14th minute through Abdoulaye Touré, who fired home a low shot from inside the penalty area.
Al Nasr maintained their advantage for the remainder of the first half, while Kalba saw a goal disallowed for offside following a VAR review.
Al Nasr enjoyed slightly more possession in the opening half with 53.8 percent, although both teams created limited clear-cut opportunities.
Kalba came back strongly after the break and managed to equalise in the 64th minute through Andreas Maxsø, who finished from close range to bring the visitors level.
The response from Al Nasr was immediate, as Luka Milivojević restored the lead in the 72nd minute with a composed finish from the penalty spot.
Kalba’s hopes of another comeback faded after Khalid Ali Aldarmaki received a red card late in the match, allowing Al Nasr to control the closing stages and secure an important three points.
The win lifts Al Nasr to 37 points in sixth place, while Kalba remain on 24 points in 11th.
