UAE Pro League Holds 1st Ordinary General Assembly Meeting for 2025-26 Season

The UAE Pro League held its First Ordinary General Assembly Meeting for the 2025-26 season on Friday morning in Abu Dhabi.

 

The meeting was chaired by Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League, and attended by members of the Board of Directors, representatives of professional clubs, and the Pro League’s executive management.

 

In his opening remarks, Al Jneibi welcomed attendees and highlighted the continued progress of UAE football, made possible by the unwavering support of the country's wise leadership, which has provided the foundations necessary for the development of the sporting sector and the advancement of UAE football at all levels.

 

He noted the ongoing growth of the football landscape, reflected in increasing fan attendance, rising levels of competition among clubs, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders to keep pace with the rapid developments shaping the global game. 

 

Al Jneibi also emphasized that the achievements realized in recent years are the result of sustained work, impactful partnerships, and a shared vision aimed at enhancing the overall football experience both on and off the pitch.

 

The UAE Pro League Chairman congratulated the clubs that secured titles and achievements during the previous season, praising the high standards they demonstrated throughout the campaign. 

 

He also welcomed the clubs promoted to the ADNOC Pro League, wishing them success and expressing confidence that they will contribute positively to professional competitions and the wider UAE football ecosystem.

 

He commended the efforts of all professional clubs throughout the season, highlighting the competitive spirit and sportsmanship that have strengthened the value and reputation of the League’s competitions.

 

The Chairman stressed that football has evolved into a comprehensive industry that extends beyond the action on the pitch to encompass fan engagement, media, digital innovation, and commercial development. He underlined the shared responsibility of all stakeholders to continue enhancing the football experience and further elevating the status of professional competitions in line with future ambitions.

 

Al Jneibi also expressed confidence in UAE football's ability to achieve even greater success in the years ahead through teamwork, a unified vision, and a collective commitment to growth and development.

 

The meeting concluded with a review of the 2025-26 Season Activity Report, which highlighted the Pro League’s key achievements, initiatives, and projects across various areas throughout the season.
