Al Ain were crowned champions of the UAE President’s Cup after defeating Al Jazira 4-1 at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
The victory secured a historic domestic double for Al Ain this season, as they added the President’s Cup title to their ADNOC Pro League triumph.
The final delivered plenty of excitement, with Al Ain producing a remarkable comeback after falling behind early in the match. Al Jazira opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Nabil Fekir, before Soufiane Rahimi levelled the score for Al Ain following a swift counterattack in the 15th minute.
Rahimi struck again just five minutes later to put Al Ain ahead, while Abdulkarim Traoré extended the lead with a third goal in the 44th minute. Late in the match, Erik sealed the victory with Al Ain’s fourth goal, confirming the club’s crowning moment and completing a memorable night for the champions.
