Al Bataeh snatched a 2-1 hard-fought win over Bani Yas in matchweek ten of the ADNOC Pro League at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium on Friday.
Mohamed Rashid had given Al Bataeh an early lead after three minutes when he went through on goal to smash the back of the net with a powerful effort from inside the box.
Gastón Suarez quickly restored the parity for Bani Yas after curling a superb free-kick into the top corner of the net in the 8th minute.
Alvaro De Oliveira sealed the victory from the spot after stroking the ball into the back of the net in the 44th minute.
The result means that Al Bataeh is 5th with 15 points, while Bani Yas sit 8th with 13 points.
