The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) appointed Waleed Taher Al Blooshi as the Match Commissioner for the 2022 World Cup qualifier between Oman and Saudi Arabia on September 7th.
Al Blooshi is among a set of UAEPL match officials who shone and left their mark at regional, continental, and international stages, as they have been assigned to some of the most important matches in different competitions. It is a testament to the success of the UAEPL’s match officials’ qualification program that has been focusing on developing Emirati talents since 2012. The program offers workshops to match officials and nominates them for important matches.
