Al Orooba draw against Al Wasl to Keep Survival Hopes Alive

Al Orooba and Al Wasl took a point each in the game that took place at the Fujairah Stadium between the two in the ADNOC Pro League's matchweek 25.

 

 

 

 

Al Orooba opened the scoring 35 minutes the game before Al Wasl drew level early in the second period of play.

 

 

 

 

Al Orooba's points tally reached 18, seeing them sit in 13th place in the league table with hopes of survival remaining still before they face Al Dhafra, also on 18 points, in the final week of games.

 

 

 

Al Wasl on the other hand saw their own tally reach 33 points in the sixth place.

 

 

 

 

The first half saw Al Orooba miss an eighth minute chance go to waste, with Gianluca Muniz missing from the spot following a lengthy VAR intervention.

 

 

 

 

This saw both teams throw away caution and attempt to break forward to open the scoring. Later, Mohamed Khalfan managed to score in the 35th minute with a beautiful assist from Saeed Abeid.

 

 

 

 

The second half saw Gilberto Oliveira claw back for the Dubai-based side thank to Ali Saleh's pass in the 51st minute, with the game descending into a midfield battle that led to several attacks, none of which ended up with a goal with profligate finishing the order of the day.
