Al Wasl coach Milos Milojevic expressed confidence in his team’s readiness ahead of their highly anticipated Emaar Super Cup encounter against Shabab Al Ahli tomorrow.
Speaking at the press conference held at the luxurious Palace Downtown Hotel, Milojevic emphasized his team’s preparation and determination for what promises to be a fierce contest.
“We are fully prepared for the Emaar Super Cup and will give our maximum effort to win the title.
It’s a big game against a strong opponent we know well and respect,” said Milojevic, acknowledging the challenge posed by Shabab Al Ahli.
The coach stressed that both teams are familiar with each other’s tactics and there would be no surprises in the game. “Both teams are like open books. My players are ready to give everything they’ve got on the pitch,” he added.
Milojevic addressed the team’s differing performances in Asian competitions and the domestic league.
He noted that while Al Wasl has excelled offensively in Asia, there are areas for improvement in their league form. “We are powerful offensively in Asia, but there are small differences we need to address in the league. These adjustments will make us even better,” he explained.
With a focus on tomorrow’s single-match final, Milojevic called for full concentration. “It’s a one-off game, and we must be fully focused. We face Shabab Al Ahli again soon in the league, but tomorrow’s match is our priority. We are ready,” he concluded.
Ali Salmin, Al Wasl’s midfielder, highlighted the significance of Emaar’s partnership with the Super Cup, calling it a benchmark for promoting Emirati football globally.
“Emaar’s collaboration with the Super Cup is a prime example of promoting UAE football to the highest international standards,” Salmin said.
Speaking about the team’s ambitions, Salmin strongly desired to secure the title for their fans. “This is the one trophy missing from our collection, and we want to bring it home for our fans. We are competing on all fronts and don’t favor one competition over another,” he stated.
The Player acknowledged the team’s inconsistent league form but assured fans of their motivation to deliver a standout performance. “Our league results haven’t been as we hoped, but this has only fueled our determination to perform at our best against Shabab Al Ahli,” he said.
