Al Maktoum Stadium is set to host the 17th edition of the UAE Super Cup, and the seventh one at this stadium.
The Super Cup match will be between the ADNOC Pro League and UAE President's Cup champions Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahli, who are the ADNOC Pro League's runners-up.
Al Maktoum stadium has hosted exciting sporting events and competitions, in addition to seven Super Cup matches.
During the 2010-11 edition, which took place at Al Maktoum stadium, Emirates secured a 3-1 win over Al Wahda, while in the 2019-2020 edition, there was a thrilling game between Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli, which ended in a 0-0 draw during the regular time, and Sharjah clinched the title after winning the penalty shootouts 4-3.
The stadium also hosted the 2020-21 edition, as Shabba Al Ahli was the champions after snatching a 1-0 win over Sharjah, while in the 2022-23 edition, Sharjah defeated Al Ain 1-0 to claim the Super Cup trophy.
The last edition saw Shabab Al Ahli settling an eight-goal thriller after defeating Sharjah 6-2 to raise the overall number of goals in the tournament's history to 15 goals.
