The ADNOC Pro League got off to a roaring start, with the table leaders changing six times over the first ten matchweeks. This has set the ground for a game of musical chairs.
Sharjah jumped to the top spot on five occasions, but three teams managed to grab the top spot over the past ten matchweeks, including Al Bataeh, Al Wahda, Al Wasl, and Shabab Al Ahli.
Shabab Al Ahli ended the first ten matchweeks at the top of the table on goal difference, thanks to their last big win over Al Nasr with three clean goals in matchweek ten.
Sharjah grabbed the top spot from Al Bataeh and strengthened their lead in the standings for four consecutive matchweeks from matchweek two till five; before losing the top spot in matchweek six to Al Wasl.
Sharjah backed on the right track in matchweek seven, but they failed to maintain their lead at the top of the table because of the fierce competition between all clubs to sit fourth with 20 points, two-point behind leaders Shabab Al Ahli.
Meanwhile, Al Wasl entered the 'game of musical chairs' after grabbing the top spot in matchweek six, but they failed to maintain their lead in matchweek seven to sit third with 21 points, one point behind leaders Shabab Al Ahli.
Al Wahda also entered the title race in matchweek eight after defeating Sharjah 1-0 to jump to the top spot, but they are now in the second spot, sharing the same points with leaders Shabab Al Ahli with 22 points.
In the same context, the Dubai-based side grabbed the top spot in matchweeks nine and ten with 22 points, sharing the same points with second-placed Al Wahda, but the former excelled on goal difference.
