The annual meeting of the World Leagues Forum (WLF), hosted by the UAE Pro League for the first time in the region, is set to kick off on Tuesday, October 18th, at the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City Hotel in Dubai.
The two-day forum will be attended by an elite group of decision-makers at the most prominent organizations and football leagues around the world.
The WLF will see meetings and workshops to discuss issues related to reshaping the future of football, the governance, and rules of the game, the integrity, and coordination of international schedules, the regulation of transfers, and the regulation of agents and intermediaries.
The first day of the forum is scheduled to witness two expanded workshops, with the participation of many international organizations and football leagues, from 2 to 3:30 pm, and from 4 to 5:30 pm, while the expanded annual meeting of the forum will be held from 9 am to 12 pm on Wednesday, October 19th.
The participating delegations began arriving on Monday, including representatives from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the European Club Association, the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro), the International Football Association Board "IFAB" and the International Labor Organization "ILO."
Meanwhile, the meeting will also be held in the presence of the different football leagues' representatives from England, Australia, Belgium, Costa Rica, Denmark, Egypt, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Israel, Qatar, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Madagascar, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, America, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe.
Notably, the UAE Pro League has completed all preparations for hosting this event thanks to its efficient task forces who enjoy accumulated experience in organizing and holding many important events over the years.
The UAE Pro League's hosting of the World Leagues Forum constitutes an important milestone, in accordance with the strategic plan that has been developed to advance and develop football, as it is the nucleus of cooperation between the UAE Pro League and international professional leagues.
During the forum, the latest technological means used in football, such as crypto assets and laws related to football in general, will be discussed during the forum, through which, we look forward to consolidating the position of the United Arab Emirates, as a destination of decision-makers for reshaping the future in various fields, including the football industry, in particular.
