The UAE Pro League successfully held on Friday, June 9th, its annual General Assembly meeting for the 2022-2023 season via video conferencing.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency UAE Pro League Chairman Abdulla Nasser Al Jneibi and attended by board members of the Pro League and representatives from professional clubs.
The talks featured discussions centered around developing the professional standards to align with the UAE Pro League's decade-long strategic plan, spanning from 2020 to 2030.
During his opening remarks, Al Jneibi extended his appreciation towards the UAE's wise leadership for their unflagging support towards sports and athletes. He underscored the leaders' conviction that the real wealth of the UAE lies in its youth.
The UAE Pro League Chairman further expressed his delight in convening with the members of the General Assembly, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the advancement of the UAE Pro League's competitions.
He also voiced his gratitude to the sponsors of the UAE Pro League competitions, broadcasting channels, and media entities for their instrumental role in the Pro League's success. "Their meaningful contributions have significantly bolstered the professional landscape of sports, underscoring their pivotal societal role in the nation, Al Jneibi noted.
The meeting began with the endorsement of the previous meeting's report and the appointment of three General Assembly members to oversee the review of the meeting's minutes.
On his part, UAE Pro League's Chief Executive Officer Waleed Al Hosani presented the activity report for the 2022-2023 sports season. He lauded the exceptional fan attendance that lent a distinct charisma to the professional matches. The report encapsulated achievements from the previous season across various domains, including artistic, organizational, marketing, and administrative levels.
