The UAE Pro League is set to host the annual meeting of the World Leagues Forum (WLF), in Dubai on October 18th and 19th.
The meeting, which will be held for the first time in the region, will be attended by an elite group of decision-makers and sports key figures at the international leagues, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the International Football Association Board (IFAB) to discuss proposals on what best serves the future of football.
This WLF is considered one of the top meetings of professional football leagues around the world.
The two-day sessions, which will be held at Dubai Festival City, aim to discuss issues related to the governance of global football, rules of the game, integrity, and coordination of international schedules to ensure the availability of players within the context of international competitions, the regulation of transfers and the regulation of agents and intermediaries.
This forum is held annually with the participation of many professional football leagues around the world, the previous edition was hosted by the Premier League in London. It is also considered a real opportunity for world leagues to enhance joint cooperation, with a view to building distinguished professional relationships among them.
The UAE Pro League will host the WLF annual meeting, with the participation of 32 professional football leagues officials, and more than 75 delegates of sports bodies, including FIFA and IFAB's board of directors.
