All Teams Score for 1st Time in Final Matchweek of the ADNOC Pro League

The 2021-22 season of the ADNOC Pro League concluded on Thursday, with Al Ain claiming the title for the fifth time in the "Professionalism's era" and the fourteenth title in their history.

 

 

 

 

Matchweek 26 saw all teams scoring in the same matchweek for the first time in the season, and it also witnessed five red cards, in addition to a red card for Ittihad Kalba's head coach Jorge Echeverrito.

 

 

 

Al Dhafra - Al Orooba

 

 

 

Al Dhafra have managed to secure their place in the ADNOC Pro League for the 11th season in a row after defeating Al Orooba 2-1.

 

 

 

Al Dhafra dominated the game, and were more dangerous in the front line launching 17 shots six of which were on target, while Al Orooba made seven attempts, one of which was on target and found the back of the net.

 

 

 


Al Wahda - Al Nasr

 

 

 

Al Wahda and Al Nasr played out a 2-2 draw at Al Nahyan Stadium in the ADNOC Pro League on Wednesday.

 

 

 

This encounter was characterized by several chances, with Al Nasr creating 15 goal-scoring chances, compared to nine for Al Wahda. Al Wahda managed to translate their nine chances into seven efforts on target, while Al Nasr launched had five.

 

 

 

Ismail Matar's goal was his second-headed goal during this ADNOC Pro League's season after his goal against Al Jazira.

 

 

 

Al Wasl - Al Jazira

 

 

 

Al Wasl defeated Al Jazira 2-1 in matchweek 26 of the ADNOC Pro League on Wednesday at Zabeel Stadium.

 

 

 

The Pride of Abu Dhabi suffered their fourth consecutive defeat for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Al Jazira created more chances than Al Wasl, but the latter managed to secure the win at the end of the night.

 

 

 

Bani Yas - Ittihad Kalba

 

 

 

A captivating affair at Bani Yas Stadium saw Ittihad Kalba come away with a precious point in a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

 

 

 

Despite playing with a numerical disadvantage for 89 minutes, both teams were level in terms of shots on target with three each.

 

 

 

Bani Yas enjoyed the bulk of possession with 72% and created 16 goal-scoring chances as their player Mohanad Al Menhali played an important role in securing a point for his side producing several interceptions and blocks.

 

 

 

Khorfakkan - Shabab Al Ahli

 

 

 

Shabab Al Ahli came from behind to defeat Khorfakkan 2-1 at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium on Thursday.

 

 

 

Khorfakkan enjoyed the bulk of possession while the Dubai-based side were more dangerous, firing five shots on target, compared to just one for the hosts from the spot.

 

 

 

Youngsters Gustavo Oliveira and Khaled Asbahi scored the two goals for Shabab Al Ahli to record their first goal in the ADNOC Pro League this season.

 

 

 

Emirates - Ajman

 

 

A goal from Leandro Spadacio and a brace from Firas Benlarbi handed Ajman a 3-1 win over Emirates at Emirates Club Stadium on Thursday.

 

 

 

 

Benlarbi was his side's best performer grabbing a brace and raising his tally to 12 goals for this season.

 

 

 

Al Ain - Sharjah

 

 

 

Al Ain ended their title-winning ADNOC Pro League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Sharjah at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Thursday.

 

 

 

 

The two teams were almost level in terms of possession, chances, and duels.

 

 

 

Sharjah created more chances than Al Ain, but the latter were more concentrated by converting these opportunities into shots on target.
