Nicolas Gimenez's first-half goal was the difference in Al Wasl's 1-0 win over Al Nasr at Al Maktoum Stadium on Friday in matchweek 16 of the ADNOC Pro League.
Three minutes before the break, Nicolás Giménez nodded the ball into the back of the net after orchestrating a fine one-two pass with Joao Pedro to give Al Wasl the lead.
It was Giménez's 30th goal in the ADNOC Pro League as he ended his ten-match drought of scoring a single ADNOC Pro League goal.
The result means that Al Wasl sit seventh with 24 points, while Al Nasr are fourth with 26 points.
