Al Nasr looked more dangerous throughout the first half, yet the failed to find the back of the net as the headed into the break deadlocked at 0-0.

Ryan Mendes fired a powerful long-range effort three minutes after the restart, forcing Fujairah keeper Abdulla Al Tamimi into a fine save.

Al Tamimi was called into action seven minutes later, as he pulled off a double save, denying Dostonbek Khamdamov and Toze before Ryan Mendes sent the rebound wide.

Fujairah were on the verge of sealing their spot in the semi-final of the competition, until Hamdan Albaroud netted an own goal in the 84th minute. The Fujairah defender mistakenly converted Ryan Mendes effort into his side’s own net as the Blues went 1-0 up.
